Pierre Fabre Research Institute houses all the Research and Development activities of the Pierre Fabre Group. They have to run a Phase III clinical study for a new product to treat seasonal pathology: information should be entered by patients themselves in their own homes. In order to make it easier to recruit patients, P.F.R.I. needed a system that offered the fewest constraints and the highest level of security.
The study was conducted in five countries: France, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland and the Czech Republic. The feedback both from the patients as well as the physicians were won over by the real-time uploading of data. Pierre Fabre also took advantage of the scheduled transmission times to quickly share data with our centers and add it to the trial. They compared 20% of the data, or 30,000 fields, in the paper forms against the files in the database. All the data matched exactly.
