Intelligent paper

To make the paper intelligent, a pattern patented by Anoto is dynamically applied during document printing. This technology can be used on all types of paper.

The pattern

The invisible Anoto pattern contains thousands of intelligent points that allow the digital pen to locate itself on the form during a writing session. Each page has a unique pattern that clearly identifies it and allows it to be automatically indexed.

The paper therefore becomes intelligent when it is printed, thanks to its invisible, unique pattern.

The digital pen

The digital pen is a proven technological tool, robust and intuitive to use. Each pen is unique and corresponds to an identified user. Using the pattern, the pen’s camera recognizes and captures the writing movements on the page. The handwritten data is then transferred in real time to a Web portal via a USB or Bluetooth connection. The information flows are very light and can therefore easily transit via low-speed internet lines. A secure exchange protocol ensures full protection of the information.

The Web portal

The Web portal allows the data collected by the pen to be consulted and shared in real time. It enables data monitoring and processing by exporting the data or organizing it in configurable dashboards. A powerful workflow engine facilitates interactions and exchanges.
