Pierre Fabre Research Institute houses all the Research and Development activities of the Pierre Fabre Group. They have to run a Phase III clinical study for a new product to treat seasonal pathology : information should be entered by patients themselves in their own homes. In order to make it easier to recruit patients, P.F.R.I. needed a system that offered the fewest constraints and the highest level of security.
The study was conducted in five countries: France, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland and the Czech Republic. The feedback both from the patients as well as the physicians were won over by the real-time uploading of data. Pierre Fabre also took advantage of the scheduled transmission times to quickly share data with our centers and add it to the trial. They compared 20% of the data, or 30,000 fields, in the paper forms against the files in the database. All the data matched exactly.
The Clin’Form Digital Pen system is very easy for patients to use and very reliable for data collection. It is the best solution for us, especially as we are extending patient.
