Kayentis digital pen and paper : Company history
| Kayentis was created by Philippe Berna in 2003 after several years of collaborative work with HP on the Digital Pen & Paper technology. From 2003 and 2005, Kayentis worked alongside HP to develop a roadmap for the FAS (Forms Automation System) platform that HP developed first in its Boise laboratories, and later in Grenoble and Barcelona. Kayentis quickly established itself as HP’s key commercial partner for the technology through a few key initial projects such as the organization of the G8 at Evian, clinical trial management solutions, and industrial maintenance solutions for the aeronautics industry. End 2005, HP shifted its strategic focus. Kayentis was its natural choice to recover all the work performed on the FAS platform. Kayentis became the publisher of the FAS middleware platform, set up its R&D center in Grenoble while picking up part of the HP team, and decided to focus on developing vertical solutions using the SaaS model designed for the world of healthcare and life sciences. That same year, Kayentis completed its first round of fundraising, bringing X Ange into its pool. In 2006, Kayentis signed its first major international clinical trial management contracts with pharmaceutical laboratories, marking the beginning the Clin’Form suite’s enduring success. In 2007, Kayentis led a second round of fundraising to finance its international development projects. Seventure joined the Kayentis pool of first-round investors. Early 2008, Kayentis opened a subsidiary in Philadelphia and won its first projects in the USA. In 2009, Kayentis launched its home care service management software suite, expanding its global offer, and signed its first contracts in the sector in the France. In 2010 Kayentis launches its Clin’Form product new version, which is a step closer to its customers’ expectations, especially regarding data-management. Clin’Form further confirms its breakthrough into the world of ePRO being retained for many clinical trials in all phases. Forms product, meanwhile, carries the Kayentis technology towards the sectors of Industry and financial services. Besides, Kayentis is rolling out Form’H@D, a new data collection solution dedicated to home hospitalization professionals. |
