The Medicen Paris Region global competitiveness cluster brings together all the key players in life sciences and healthcare industries of the Paris Region. The cluster's aim is to enhance the competitiveness, visibility and attractiveness of the Paris Region internationally, turning it into one of the major global metropolitan regions in the field of therapeutic innovation for the years to come. Dedicated to advanced technologies for healthcare, innovative drugs and new gene, molecular and cell therapies, the Medicen Paris Region cluster has defined six strategic priorities: neurodegenerative diseases, cancer, infectious diseases, molecular and cellular medicine, biomedical imaging, and drug design science and technology.

Bio NJ, which serves as the voice of biotechnology companies located in New Jersey, seeks to promote their economic growth and development and works to encourage new and established companies from around the world to locate to New Jersey. BioNJ represents companies involved in the biopharmaceutical, biomedical and bioagricultural sectors. Its mission statement: to formulate and advocate policy positions to elected state and federal representatives and other government officials; to acquire and coordinate resources and provide services to members on issues critical to building successful biotechnology enterprises; and to enhance awareness and the standing of New Jersey's biotechnology industry.

 Lyonbiopôle

A global center of excellence in vaccines and diagnostics, Lyonbiopôle, certified a global competitiveness cluster in 2005, seeks to understand human and animal infectious diseases globally, from diagnosis and prevention to treatment by integrating the original administration systems. This "integrated" approach aims to develop a "health shield" to protect populations. The strength of Lyonbiopôle resides in its cluster organization that focuses on infectious diseases in response to health issues and economic positions in dynamic markets. The company is industry-driven, with involvement of all stakeholders in critical fields of the cluster.

 

ASIPAG

The ASIPAG (Association for Innovative Solutions in Autonomy and Gerontechnology) has the objective of representing designers and manufacturers of technologies facilitating autonomy, and developing the use of such technologies in France in a socially responsible and ethical manner. Whilst the ageing population is leading to much discussion about loss of autonomy, solutions provided by the ASIPAG are an essential component of the response to be provided to this major social issue.
